Particularly Interested In
Overall, I'm particularly interested in shows with smart characters and clever dialogue. Series that have a strong driving engine or storyline that keeps an audience engaged. There are a handful of genres I gravitate toward but the most important factor of a script are its themes and message. I'm particularly interested in stories that bend our understanding of reality and peak the imagination - whether grounded in reality or high concept. Things like LOST and GAME OF THRONES or on a smaller scale centered more around a character like RUSSIAN DOLL. Some of my favorite films when I was younger were CONTACT, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, ALIEN, and STAR WARS. I love when a story includes the complex dynamics of a family in its plot. Shows like SUCCESSION, WEEDS, THE SOPRANOS, and SHAMELESS weave the intricacies of close relationships into a larger conflict heightening the stakes. Drama, Comedy, and Dramadies are all welcome just the same, although I do tend to lean more into Drama. Especially when the audience is confronted with a twist or an unexpected outcome that lands well through plot setup. I enjoy shows such as THE DIPLOMAT, HOUSE OF CARDS, and SCANDAL just as much as HACKS, SCHITT'S CREEK, and THE OTHER TWO.

Specifically Not Interested In
Horror often does not land well with me. While I find that there are some incredibly well made Film and TV in the Genre, I'm not typically someone who turns on a show or goes to the theater for a scare without good reason.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
