More about Mimi Li

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Mimi Li is a bilingual, queer creator & executive. After graduating from Brown University, Mimi worked at WME in the Talent and then Motion Picture Department. She then made the foray to working in development with Erik Feig at PICTURESTART where she got promoted. During her time at PICTURESTART, she helped champion work by AAPI and queer writers, and brought in projects including IRON WIDOW by Xiran Jay Zhao. Currently she works as a producer and creative director at EDMA Entertainment, a new Shanghai / Hong Kong / LA-based company. She served as a mentor on Ghetto Film School’s “Discover Your Voice” Fellowship, during which she worked with filmmakers to build a fully fleshed-out feature pitch from a kernel of an idea. She also served as a judge for LA’s RSFF Film Festival in 2023.
