While I'm only able to entertain concepts for the preschool space that fit the Disney Junior brand, I have a wide range of genre experience; from my time at Bold Films or Hyde Park Entertainment to developing new musicals and plays for Broadway and the West End.
Charlie Zicari started his career in New York City as the Assistant to Stafford Arima for his concert production of "Ragtime" at Lincoln Center and the Production Assistant for Scott Schwartz's workshop of "The More Things Change" at Second Stage Theater.
Since then, Charlie has been involved in the development and production of several musicals on Broadway and the West End, including "Disney's Newsies," "Between the Lines," "Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life," and "9 to 5." He was also the cofounder of Life in Luggage Productions, a production company intended for recent and upcoming musical theatre graduates, and served as Producer & Director for the company's inaugural productions of "Grease" and "Legally Blonde: The Musical."
Most recently, Charlie helped to develop a diverse range of film and television projects at Bold Films (COLETTE) and Hyde Park Entertainment (PASHMINA, FORDLANDIA). He is currently a Creative Executive in Development & Current Series at Disney Junior, where he founded The Writer's Clubhouse; Disney Junior’s first initiative to engage, develop, and mentor writers with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to become the next generation of creative preschool storytellers under Disney Branded Television’s “Storytellers” umbrella.
