Script Shack

Online Classes

Karel Segers - Writer/Producer
$160.00

If you want to hone your reading and writing skills in a setting that lets you work at your own pace, then Roadmap has a new program to fit that bill!

Karel Segers' amazing Script Shack Program is a self-directed study program that only takes 30 minutes a day!

The program is self-direct learning, it can be completed in 30 days or you can take things at your own pace as you will  have access to it for 12 months .

You will study excerpts from a variety of scripts, taking you out of your comfort zone by exposing you to a wide selection of writing styles, formats, and genres.  You will also read a Blacklist feature script as well as a popular pilot, dissect what makes them "work", and write a synopsis for each.

In addition, Karel will conduct a Zoom each month where the first half will cover a screenwriting topic and during the second half, you will be able to discuss Script Shack and ask questions.

This Program Will Teach You How To:

  • Learn to intuitively understand what a great script looks like.
  • Develop the muscle memory of writing in screenplay format.
  • Acquire the talent to translate ideas into the written word.
  • Develop the analytical skills to edit and improve your work.
  • Construct clearer one-page synopses.

Testimonials

After a break from writing, this was the perfect course to recondition my screenwriting muscles! My approach to writing, reading, and watching has vastly improved in a very short time. And the course was a lot of fun!

~ Alisa R - Screenwriter

I wouldn’t have realized I was rushing through scenes and being a lazy writer had it not been for SCRIPT SHACK. I’m so grateful to Karel Segers for offering his SCRIPT SHACK course. I would highly recommend it to all writers who want to elevate their craft to a professional level.

~ Ted W - Screenwriter

Script Shack opened my eyes to new ways of writing and made me flex my writing muscles with rigor and practice. I found better ways to put images and dialogue to the page.
