Most of my professional career has been in the Kids & Family space. I love that demo for any platform. However, I've also spent years in adult features and love a really good TV series.
Favorite kinds of titles to read:
To All The Boys I Loved Before (YA)
Something In The Rain (grounded Korean Drama)
The Expanse (epic sci-fi)
Sinners (imaginative, bold features. I don't like gore, so I didn't select Horror)
Indiana Jones (epic adventure)
Chronicle (I read it when it was being shopped around and I legit read it for pleasure sometimes.)
Kevin Can F*** Himself (genre-bending TV)
Things specifically geared towards an African American audience of ANY genre that isn't purely gore
I do not like gore. Anything in the vein of SAW or is about chopping people up, isn't for me. I don't always "get" slapstick humor for adults, which most buddy comedies are. I also am picky when it comes to Rom Coms. GROUNDED romance is my JAM.
I don't like anime. I get bored of European history. I no longer care. It has to be something particularly amazing or cinematically groundbreaking (example: NO to Dunkirk or Oppenheimer. YES to 1917 [one shot film]).
I would prefer not to read anything that is based upon Nickelodeon characters, it gets into weird territory given my position.

Before starting your Month Mentorship, please ensure you are familiar with our Code of Conduct.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
