How you approach the prep work of outlining your script—whether for your first draft or your 10th—can make all the difference when you sit down to face the blinking cursor. No matter how detailed or macro, all outlines must contain the standard structural integrity and character arcs for your particular format and genre. Submit your outline (10 page max) and the executive will conduct a 30-minute notes call to give you and your story ground-level guidance. You'll discuss how to refine set up of the structure, pacing, theme, and character development for your script.

Jayne has worked in Hollywood for the last decade, primarily in television and development. She began her career on hit TV show CRIMINAL MINDS as the Showrunner's Assistant, learning the many ropes of running a major network show. After the original CRIMINAL MINDS ended, Jayne worked in TV/Film development for a development company under a deal with ABC Signature. It was there she learned how to develop, pitch and sell a show to multiple buyers.
Jayne was then staffed as a writer in 2022 on the new CRIMINAL MINDS for Paramount Plus. She is currently staffed on the season 2 of that show and eagerly awaiting for the strike to lift so she can resume her scripts. She is repped by Kaplan Stahler. Jayne also has an LGBTQ rom-com being shopped amongst streaming platforms pre-strike.
For fun she is the host of THE ORBIT OF VENUS Podcast, a podcast based on the arts, sacred feminine and wellness. She has self published two books, Warm Heart Neon Soul and Venus Venus: Love Notes from Beyond.
Her passion is telling stories that expand people's minds and hearts. She loves focusing on character development and believes that even the "darkest" of shows can still bring the light through the character. She is a forever student of story and looks forward to helping you with yours!

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
