Particularly Interested In
Fresh and inventive takes on relatable stories. Specifically, creating highly defined characters to drive the story. DEAD LOCH is one of the most recent examples of a great show where every character is incredibly specific and well defined.

Specifically Not Interested In
I'm not interested in superhero or fantasy pieces unless they are inventive and new. This is incredibly difficult as so many are derivative. For example, a recent example of a fresh take on the superhero genre is EXTRAORDINARY.
More about Ethan Banville
Ethan Banville is an accomplished writer, producer, creator, show-runner and author known for his work in the tween and kids' space. A lifelong skateboarder, he began his writing career in Action Sports programming, on a dream job where he got to work with some of his childhood skateboarding heroes. From there he began receiving freelance opportunities on comedies in prime time and eventually landed in the kids and teen space where he's worked since 2005. Since then, Ethan has gone on to write for a long list of programs in both the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands including animation, live action, and feature film. The first show he co-created, the "smash hit" ODDBALLS, is available for streaming on Netflix. He is a proud member of both the WGA's Disabled Writers committee and LGBTQ+ committee and embraces being able to openly write characters based off his disabilities and sexual preference experiences. Ethan has a passion for helping underrepresented voices find a foothold in Hollywood and can often be found teaming up with unrepresented writers whose stories need to be heard by networks and studios. He is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada and loves working on both sides of the border.
How it Works

After registering, you will receive instructions on how to submit your material in your order confirmation email. After submitting your material, please allow at least 3-4 weeks to receive proposed times for scheduling your call with the exec.

**Please note half-hour pilot consultation material is limited to 37 pages maximum

Be sure to familiarize yourself with Roadmap's Code of Conduct.

Questions? Email terra@roadmapwriters.com!

MARKETING BONUS! If you receive a rating of Excellent or Virtually Flawless in at least four out of five categories (Logline and Formatting/Ease of Reading are excluded) on your consultation feedback report, we'll do one round of personalized marketing to execs (up to 5) for this screenplay for free!

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
