Outline the concept and broad stroke at the top, clear structure, identify and track character arcs, and identify and track genre moments (if it's a horror, where are the scary set pieces? if it's an action where is the action? etc.).
High-concept meets character-driven but with a plot that can play around well with traditional genre expectations. This can apply to a variety of formats from various types of television to films. In terms of examples, projects that have felt particularly interesting in recent years are: SEVERANCE, BARBARIAN, and BARBIE.
After graduating from USC, Austin Bowman began his career at Working Title Films, contributing to projects like BABY DRIVER and DARKEST HOUR. He then transitioned to Dylan Clark Productions, assisting with the production of BIRD BOX and the TV series THE WILDS. Subsequently, Austin served as an Executive at AGBO under the Russo Brothers, where he worked on EXTRACTION and EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE. Presently, Austin is an Executive at Safehouse Pictures, which boasts development deals with Amazon for films and Legendary for television. He oversees a diverse slate of film and television projects in this role.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
