The Representation Panel w/ Audrey Knox, Tiffany Boyle & Davina Hefflin

Webinars ~ Representation Series
Hosted By:
Audrey Knox - Manager, Producer, Cartel Entertainment
$34.00

Let’s say you’re a writer new to screenwriting and you’ve heard a lot of people talking about representation, how to get it, why they want it or don’t, how they recently changed it, etc. Or, maybe you’ve been in the game for a while but still can’t seem to discern exactly what type of representation you need to get your career to the next level.

The term “representation” can seem to mean so many things. And it’s often unclear who does what and what you, as the writer, are responsible for, as well. What’s the difference between an agent and a manager? Do you need both, or can you be successful with just one? And what about an entertainment attorney? How do they factor into this? What do you need if you want to sell a script – or do you even need one at all?

We know it’s confusing enough to make your head spin! That’s why Roadmap has assembled an amazing group of reps to clear this all up for you!

This 90-Minute Virtual Panel Will Cover:

  • The role(s) of an agent, manager, and lawyer
  • What representatives can do for you
  • How to approach representatives
  • Your relationship with your rep
  • Audience Q&A!

Testimonials

I cannot recommend Audrey enough - from moment one, she brought in a down to earth real-person demeanor, and then when we got into the work, her feedback was actionable, no-bullsh*t, and the real deal. She has a steady finger on the pulse of this industry & knows what works and what doesn't. I'm so grateful for the few sessions I've done with Audrey, all of which eventually led to a working relationship where she's now taking out some of my scripts for staffing & development opportunities!

~ Tristan J Shuler, TV Writer

Audrey is very straight-forward, blunt even. Not for everyone, but for my stubborn writer brain, it worked perfectly! She makes sure to start and end each session with positive aspects & compliments, and she's very helpful if you're actually open to hearing what she's saying. She's great at structure and even gives specific solutions to page problems to make the story an easier read. I would recommend Audrey to any writer who is serious about starting their career and is not easily defensive when getting notes about structure.

~ Anonymous Screenwriter

Audrey was really helpful. I've heard similar notes about my structure before, but I never heard it explained as clearly and concretely as Audrey did. I'm so glad I signed up for this session and was able to connect with Audrey!
