I am particularly interested in voice-driven character portraits, either half-hour or hour-long female and BIPOC-driven premium dark comedies like ATLANTA, RAMY, I MAY DESTROY YOU, FLEABAG. I am also particularly interested in budget-friendly high concept grounded sci-fi shows and features such as SEVERANCE. On the feature side, I'm additionally interested in high concept coming of age stories and commercial magical realism.
Not as interested in high octane fantasy and period pieces.
Born in Singapore and raised in suburban Connecticut, Melinda knew from a young age that she wanted to change the world with cinema and storytelling. In 2022, Melinda became the Director of Development at TM Instruments, a film & tv production company with a first-look deal at Anonymous Contents, and projects set up at Apple TV, Paramount TV, Tyler Perry Studios, and Universal Studios (specifically a reboot of Van Helsing in the Universal Monsterverse).
