I’m drawn to elevated, character-driven stories that offer a sense of escapism—whether through world-building, tonal ambition, or emotional depth. In features, I’m genre-agnostic but especially excited by high-concept ideas that feel contemporary and fresh, grounded by compelling characters. Think PALM SPRINGS, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE, or GET OUT.
On the TV side, I’m looking for inventive, emotionally resonant series like SEVERANCE, STATION ELEVEN, or THE BEAR—projects that blend concept and character in ways that feel bold, timely, and uniquely human. I’m also excited by procedurals with serialized elements and strong character POVs, in the vein of HIGH POTENTIAL, THE ROOKIE, or POKER FACE—shows that deliver satisfying weekly engines while offering emotional and thematic arcs across the season.
Straight feature dramas
Kevin Sauer is a seasoned creative executive with over 15 years of experience in film and television development and production. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Film & Television at Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions, where he oversaw a diverse slate of projects across scripted, unscripted, and branded content. While at Nuyorican, Kevin helped shepherd major titles, including ATLAS, THIS IS ME… NOW, THE MOTHER, HALFTIME, and CLIMBING IN HEELS (in development), collaborating closely with top-tier talent and global partners such as Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Universal, Lionsgate, and Skydance.
Before joining Nuyorican, Kevin was a studio executive at STX Entertainment, where he helped guide films such as HUSTLERS, THE GENTLEMEN, and MY SPY through development, production, and release. He built his foundation in the industry through roles in production, digital marketing, and talent representation, including at ICM Partners, where he supported a roster of leading screenwriters and directors.
Kevin is the founder of Brick River Entertainment, a media company focused on developing and producing original content for film, television, and digital platforms, as well as offering creative consulting and brand strategy services across the entertainment industry.
