Right now, I’m particularly interested in grounded genre stories that push familiar tropes in unexpected ways. I love near-fi and wish-fulfillment gone wrong, as well as subversive takes on well-loved genres in the vein of THE BOYS. Horror, horror-comedy, and psychological thrillers that are character-forward are always exciting to me, as are workplace and corporate thrillers with sharp social commentary.
On the other side of the spectrum, I’m drawn to stories with big emotional hooks, especially in romance and mystery. Romantasy, romance/thrillers, dark and epic romance, as well as cozy romance, cozy crime, romance/mystery, puzzlebox mystery, and upstairs/downstairs high-brow soaps all pique my interest. Across genres, I gravitate toward bold voices, layered characters, and worlds that feel both surprising and relatable.
Political dramas, historical/war stories, faith-based/spiritual projects, or biopics.
