Director of Competition & Partnerships, Roadmap Writers
BIO
TIFFANY YARDE is a Caribbean-American screenwriter dedicated to dismantling the monolithic portrayal of the Black experience in America. Raised in Brooklyn’s Walt Whitman Public Housing, she grew up in a world where resilience wasn’t just a trait—it was a necessity. Her upbringing, shaped by the ingenuity of her Bajan immigrant parents, instilled in her a deep empathy for overlooked narratives and a passion for crafting stories that challenge perception.
Her work, including the TV movie Dress for Success (Tubi) and the short film Bon Voyage (Women’s Weekend Film Challenge), explores themes of identity, self-acceptance, and cultural duality. As a fellow in the inaugural Creative Corridor Program—a transatlantic initiative by Independent Film Trust and Roadmap Writers—she has honed her storytelling alongside a global network of industry professionals.
A graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. in English and currently pursuing an MFA in Screenwriting at the David Lynch School of Cinematic Arts, Tiffany is committed to creating narratives that transcend stereotypes, celebrate resilience, and leave audiences thinking long after the credits roll.
