Joey Tuccio


Joey Tuccio is the CEO of Roadmap Writers, an educational hub for writers. Before starting Roadmap, Joey worked at Bold Films and read for both Hugh Jackman and George Clooney's companies. He founded Roadmap Writers with the aim to bridge the gap between fresh, talented voices and industry execs who can make things happen through educational programs. In just three years Roadmap has helped more than 176 writers get signed to places like Circle of Confusion, APA, Gotham Group, Gersh and more. Roadmap has also partnered with the WGA and the PGA on Gender Diversity Initiatives. Joey is also incredibly active and passionate about rescuing dogs.

Nicholle Diggins is currently the Executive Assistant to the Head of Talent & Literary Management at Echo Lake Entertainment (THE GREAT, VAN HELSING). In addition, she also supports another literary manager with a heavy focus on comedy and animation. She started her career as the LA office receptionist at A3 (fka Abrams Artists Agency).

Nicholle has also worked on production sets in the art department for projects like indie feature THE MAESTRO starring Xander Berkley and for a DREAMWORKS TV/ Awesomeness kid’s digital series on YouTube. Prior to that, she was a development intern at Oscar winning producer’s company MadChance Productions (AMERICAN SNIPER, 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU).

An LA native, Nicholle graduated with honors from California State University, Northridge with an emphasis in Television Production and a Creative Writing minor.

Chris Deckard spent over seven years at ICM Partners and WME before co-founding the management & production company Fictional Entity in 2017, after graduating from Cornell University and earning his J.D. From Notre Dame Law. Chris has cast, packaged, and sold numerous features, series, and new media projects to both domestic and international audiences in addition to helping writers staff on Netflix and Amazon series.

Fictional Entity's clients have been named to The Black List, The Hit List, The Young & Hungry List, The Blood List, the PAGE Awards, the Nicholl Awards, and more. Clients have written, directed, starred, and produced features, TV, virtual reality, and podcasts, independently and for companies like Netflix, NBCUniversal, Legendary, Marvel, the CW, Warner Bros., Amazon, Blumhouse, Hulu, Comedy Central, TruTV, Hallmark, Lifetime, CBS, Facebook, and more.

Janet Jeffries


Janet Jeffries is a Development and Production Executive working with several independent financiers and sales companies in both features and television for Lawrence Bender Productions (GRETA; HACKSAW RIDGE; Martin Scorsese’s SILENCE; GOOD WILL HUNTING; AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH; PULP FICTION; INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS) / Bender Brown TV Productions (Netflix’s SEVEN SECONDS; Starz’s FLESH AND BONE; CW’s ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO).

Recent credits include CAPONE starring Tom Hardy, the animated short COPS AND ROBBERS streaming on Netflix, and Netflix original feature THE HARDER THEY FALL directed by Jeymes Samuel and starring Idris Elba. For the past eight years, Janet has also had the pleasure of being an adjunct professor for the MFA in Screenwriting program at National University.

Corey Trent Ackerman


Corey Trent Ackerman joined the Cartel in the fall of 2016 as a manager. Prior to joining, he was the driving force behind FreshMaker Media, a literary management and production company, representing TV writers, screenwriters, and filmmakers in all media. Ackerman previously held the position of Vice President of Development and Production for Inferno Entertainment. Prior to joining Inferno, he spearheaded development for Southpaw Entertainment, producers of AUGUST RUSH and THE SPACE BETWEEN US. His first executive position was Creative Executive at Red Wagon Productions. Prior to that, he was assistant to Dede Gardner, then Vice President of Production at Paramount Pictures. Ackerman attended Townsend Harris High School at New York’s Queens College and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
