Hi. My name is RENATO NUNZIO LORENZO OLIVIERI. Since that’s such a mouthful, everyone calls me Ren.
After graduating from university with a degree in theatre, I landed a job writing, performing, and teaching improv for the Second City in Toronto. After a three-year stint, I began a career as a copywriter, creating inspiring work in multiple forms of media including commercials, documentaries, and video content for dozens of global brands.
Though new to writing comedy for film and television, a career in advertising has kept me connected to the entertainment world. Today, with more control over my personal schedule, I’ve decided it’s time to invest my time and energy into fulfilling my dream of becoming a screenwriter.
The way I see it, I’ve spent the last twenty years telling brand stories, and now it’s time to write mine.
