DEBORAH WISEMAN and ANNA MERRITT are a writing partnership with seven years of collaboration behind them, rooted in a shared comedic sensibility discovered through a book club. Together, they form a dynamic creative duo—Deborah bringing a rich background in acting across television, film, theatre, and voice-over (alexcusackmanagement.com), while Anna draws from her experience in script-editing for film and television. Their complementary skill sets give them the versatility and cohesion of a writers' room in miniature.
Deborah and Anna specialize in crafting female-centred comedy that blends sharp wit with emotional depth, often provoking laughter, reflection, and the occasional tear. Their work is marked by layered storytelling, complex characters, and a keen understanding of tone.

Sandwich – IMRO Award-winning radio comedy-drama (2024), commissioned by Coimisiún na Meán and broadcast nationally on Newstalk Radio in April, June, and August 2024.
Bubbles – Short screenplay finalist at the Catalyst International Film Festival 2025.
Sandwich (TV Pilot) – Selected for the Thousand Films Screenwriting Competition 2024 (one of 12 selected from over 3,000 scripts).
