Ryan Wickers

Ryan Wickers is an independent film producer based in Los Angeles with a focus on elevated genre and the international marketplace. He’s currently building a slate of English-language projects with financiers and filmmakers from around the world including Nordisk Film / Norway, VVS Films / Canada, Paiva Films / France, Endeavor Content, and Untitled Entertainment. Specifically, he’s developing an original thriller idea from French director Anthony Marciano and the English-language remake of the Norwegian disaster thriller THE TUNNEL directed by Pål Øie which was released in 2019, among others. He also consults with Gulf Film / Dubai acting as their buyer’s rep for all of the major film markets. Most recently he worked with Pathé Films / France as a festival/production/development consultant to help expand their footprint in the US. He also served as Executive Producer on the Dutch film PARADISE DRIFTERS directed by Mees Peijnburg which premiered at the Berlinale 2020. Previously he was the Vice President of Production / Development at EuropaCorp, the European studio of filmmaker Luc Besson. For 4+ years he helped oversee the entire English language slate and assisted in building the Los Angeles branch of EuropaCorp from the ground up. While there he worked on such films as THE COMMAND directed by Thomas Vinterberg, THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED directed by Camille Delamarre, NINE LIVES directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, ENTER THE WARRIORS GATE directed by Matthias Hoene, and AMERICAN RENEGADES directed by Steven Quale. Prior to EuropaCorp he worked at Annapurna Pictures in International Sales on such films as FOXCATCHER directed by Bennett Miller, HER directed by Spike Jonze, AMERICAN HUSTLE directed by David O. Russell, and ZERO DARK THIRTY directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Before joining Annapurna, he was with Bryan Singer’s Bad Hat Harry and also Lionsgate Entertainment in the Production / Development department where he worked on the film WARRIOR directed by Gavin O’Connor. He began his career at Lionsgate in Theatrical Marketing. Ryan graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A. in Advertising & Marketing.
