I am most drawn to character-based conflicts, regardless of the genre. I believe the relationships and interactions between two people to almost always be more compelling than the plot of a story. Romance stories are a strong example of how the relationship between two people is powerful enough to drive a narrative, and I think that is representative of the type of story I am drawn to.

Mike Thomas is a Los Angeles based partner's assistant at Writ Large management, a literary management company. Before working at Writ Large, Mike worked at both ABC Signature and 20th Television as a part of the Development and Series teams. Working with clients and potential clients, Mike spends time in constant creative discussion. During the week, Mike reads anywhere between 7-10 features, pilots, treatments, and outlines before giving notes and feedback. Mike received a bachelor's degree from Colgate University, where he majored in English.
