Mark Finley founded Metric Talent & Literary Management in 2013, where he represents actors, writers, and directors. At Metric he has guided acting careers and been instrumental in helping break actors, TV personalities, and social media influencers to the next level. On the literary and production side, now branded Plain Text, clients include writers of major features and TV series creator/showrunners, along with high potential developmental writers.
Finley started his entertainment career in music, having co-founded the independent record label Push/Pull Records in 2005. He segued to Film and TV management in 2011 when he was hired as an associate manager at Allen Edelman Management. The decision to go independent and form Metric was driven by his desire to expand into literary and production.
In 2018 he combined forces with Daniel Brandt, former VP at Lotus Entertainment (THE GREY, KILLING THEM SOFTLY), to form Plain Text, a production company that also handles literary management. On the production side, the company has film and TV projects set up at studios and major production companies. They also represent film financiers on both the studio and indie levels.
