How long have you been writing and what made you want to write in the first place?
I have been writing stories since I was a kid. I started writing scripts a few years ago when I found myself wanting to watch shows that didn't yet exist.

What genre do you prefer to write in? What draws you to that genre?
Comedy is my favorite genre to write. I like the challenge of creating humor from context and working in jokes seamlessly. Comedy has the potential to deliver powerful messages in a fun way.

Who are the writers that inspire you?
I am inspired by Tina Fey, Rob McElhenney, Jenji Kohan, Shonda Rhimes, and Meg Cabot. They each have a signature style and voice that resonates with viewers/readers, along with proactive characters that drive their own innovative stories. Beyond their stellar writing and storytelling ability, the consistency of great work they produce is impressive.

What are three things you're currently digging?
I am obsessed with Brooklyn Nine-Nine and there’s an awesome podcast called Children of Tendu that I listen to almost daily. I recently started working out at Solidcore and it is tough in the best way.

What interested you about Roadmap's Diversity Initiative?
I really like that Roadmap Writers Diversity Initiative focuses on building relationships while educating writers and helping them strengthen their projects through consistent hands-on workshops and mentorship.
