Genre TV is my bread and butter, including sci-fi, fantasy and horror. I'd lean more into original stories or inspired by something outside the industry/LA Narrative bubble.
Ryan Mickels has worked more than 11 years in Current Programming at Universal Content Productions under the NBCUniversal conglomerate. Ryan brings a deep understanding of television storytelling from development through production and post. Before moving into Current Programming, Ryan worked in management and on set, building a well-rounded perspective on both the creative and practical sides of television development, packaging and production.
Throughout his career, Ryan worked closely with writers, producers, showrunners, Studio and Network creative teams from broadcast, animation to streaming platforms. With over 700 episodes under his belt, Ryan loves to cultivate story, strengthen characters, and help series reach their full potential. Being a genre nerd at heart, Ryan's approach to notes is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in the belief that the best work comes from a strong creative partnership in order to cultivate rather than force a great story.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
