More about Richard Kahan

Writer/Producer Richard Kahan has worked in film and television for nearly 30 years. In television, Richard spent four years on Sony Television/Starz’s multi-Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series OUTLANDER, writing one of the highest rated episodes of the hit series. Recently he wrote on BEACON 23 for Amazon / MGM+, starring GAME OF THRONES’ Lena Headey.

In film, Richard produced LUCKY for Magnolia Pictures, which marks the final performance of screen legend Harry Dean Stanton, with a supporting cast that includes the late iconic director David Lynch, Ron Livingston, Ed Begley Jr., and Tom Skerritt. The film, which also served as the directorial debut of celebrated character actor John Carroll Lynch, was named one of the 21st century’s best independent films by Variety.

Other notable credits include producing THE ELEVATOR, starring William Shatner, writing and producing LIFELINE, for Academy Award-winning The Lagralane Group (Netflix’s ICARUS), producing KILLING ELEANOR, starring Jenny O’Hara, Annika Marks, Jane Kaczmarek, Betsy Brandt, and Camryn Manheim, and writing PONZI: PURE AND TRUE, a feature film based on the preeminent Charles Ponzi biography by Donald Dunn.

Richard is currently producing the film HAPPY, reuniting with John Carroll Lynch alongside BCDF Pictures (Academy Award-nominated TO LESLIE.)
