What to Expect
It's important for every writer to have a solid script AND to show executives that they are collaborative and professional to work with. Limited to only 5 writers, these 2-week Rewrite Clinics are designed to give writers an opportunity to develop a solid script and collaborate with an industry professional.
The executive will read your script and meet with you one-on-one for 25 minutes. You'll receive notes from your executive, get to know them, and let them get to know you!
Then you will have a week between sessions to revise your pages and in the second roundtable, you'll have another 25-minute meeting to talk about the submitted revisions.

Rewrite Clinics meet online via virtual classroom utilizing video conferencing software ZOOM.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the class. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.

A strong character and original hook. I don't mind seeing something done before, but there should be an original angle, location, or plot point that makes it standout.
Character driven adventure/action features with a comedic tone and emotional heart with a budget range of 8m - 20m. Thrillers and horror, male and female led, in the 4m - 10m budget range.

Justin Franklin is a producer and creative executive with a sharp instinct for story. He’s worked closely with writers and directors including Jonathan Tropper, Tony Basgallop, Jon Fawcett, and Greg Yaitanes, developing projects alongside talent such as Patrick Dempsey and Pierce Brosnan.
He specializes in giving precise, actionable notes that elevate scripts without compromising the writer’s voice, focusing on structure, character, and tone with a clear understanding what the market responds to. His work has contributed to projects sold to HBO, Sony, NBCUniversal, Legendary Entertainment, AMC Networks, and SundanceTV.
Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.
