What to Expect
It's important for every writer to have a solid script AND to show executives that they are collaborative and professional to work with. Limited to only 5 writers, these 2-week Rewrite Clinics are designed to give writers an opportunity to develop a solid script and collaborate with an industry professional.
The executive will read your script and meet with you one-on-one for 25 minutes. You'll receive notes from your executive, get to know them, and let them get to know you!
Then you will have a week between sessions to revise your pages and in the second roundtable, you'll have another 25-minute meeting to talk about the submitted revisions.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the class. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.

Be sure to start your pitch with a hook. The people hearing your pitch need to be given a reason to stick their neck out for your idea. To get them to be exciting enough to do this, you need them locked in to your pitch. In the same way that writers need to hook a reader on page one, you need to hook your audience on minute one of your pitch.
Also - always leave them wanting more. Don't go beat by beat through your story. Give them just enough to be engaged from beginning to end of the plot summary but only include the details that you feel make this project special or will be those big trailer moments.
And always have comps for your movie that are movies made in the last 5 years. Ex. If you have a coming of age romance, comp it to ANORA not PRETTY WOMAN.
Horror, action, and thriller genres in the feature space. Must be something that has potential for a theatrical release. Great characters that lean on the older side (30 and up).
Hard sci-fi, comedies, dramas, movies about people in their 20s or younger (for casting purposes).
Connor Purcell is the current Director of Development for C2 Motion Picture Group, a production and financing company. He is a Co-EP on THE MONKEY by Oz Perkins. C2 is also known for films like LONGLEGS, AZRAEL, and GOODRICH. Previously he worked at Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Sugar23, and Paradigm Talent Agency. Connor attended Southern Methodist University for undergrad.
Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.
