Week #1: Script Review

The exec will read each writer's revised script prior to class and each writer will have 25 minutes to discuss final notes and thoughts with the exec.

More about Val McLeroy

A graduate of Michigan State University with a BFA in English, Theatre, and Education, Val McLeroy is currently a Manager/Producer at Epigram Entertainment where she and her producing partner Doug Draizin currently have writers working with Amazon (HUNTERS), eOne (DESIGNATED SURVIVOR), NBC (30 ROCK), Netflix (THE QUEEN’S GAMBIT), and Robert Zemeckis' company (FLIGHT; CAST AWAY). Previously, Val worked as a development and production executive at companies including Atlantic Entertainment (TEEN WOLF) and Green/Epstein Productions (IT). Val has also produced several TV movies, two of which she wrote for Lifetime: HEART OF THE STORM and SPIRIT which has been nominated for a Humanitas award. As a writer and former teacher of English and Drama, Val understands the needs and concerns of writers and loves mentoring emerging talent.

How it Works

Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.
