What to Expect
It's important for every writer to have a solid script AND to show executives that they are collaborative and professional to work with. Limited to only 5 writers, these 2-week Rewrite Clinics are designed to give writers an opportunity to develop a solid script and collaborate with an industry professional.
The executive will read your script and in an online roundtable with only 4 other writers, you will have 25 minutes to receive notes from your executive, get to know them, and let them get to know you!
Then you will have a week between sessions to revise your pages and in the second roundtable, you'll have another 25-minute meeting to talk about the submitted revisions.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the class. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.

The most successful pitches and pitch scripts I've read start with where the story is coming from for the writer personally. Is it based on a true event that affected the writer? Are there parts of this story that motivated creating this story even if it isn't true? I'd rather be hooked by how this personally affects the writer speaking about the work versus hearing about story first.
Indie features under $5MM with a small cast and ability to shoot in a handful of locations. Also high-budget studio features.
Unscripted projects. If it's a documentary series, I'd like to hear the outline and about the source but not if it's going to end up being reality programming.
A graduate of Emerson College with a BFA in Media Arts Production, Molly Welsh is currently in prep on a feature at Sony (LITTLE WOMEN; VENOM; SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE) as a Creative Exec for Jeff Tomsic (TAG). Molly started her career working in development for directors Phil Traill (SUPERSTORE; FRESH OFF THE BOAT; GOOD GIRLS) and Dean Craig (DEATH AT A FUNERAL; A FEW BEST MEN) and as a script reader for Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment (KNOWING; YOU, ME, AND DUPREE).

Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.
