Danny Rocco (Mitarotondo)’s plays have been developed and produced in New York, Los Angeles, Cape Cod, Colorado, Romania, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Oregon Shakespeare Festival and most recently at the Irondale Theater Center. Danny is a Yaddo resident artist, an Edward F. Albee Fellow, a graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School, and Columbia University’s School of the Arts with an MFA in playwriting. He has been the playwright in residence at the Atlantic Acting School since 2015, developing new plays annually for production at the Linda Gross Theater. He is the Artistic Director of Brontosaurus Haircut Productions, and the co-creator of the Score Technique of playwriting. His play WHAT THE SPARROW SAID is being made into a movie under the direction of Tim Guinee, executive produced by Anson Mount (@SparrowTheMovie). Currently, Danny works on the creative team of Joshua John Miller and M.A. Fortin (QUEEN OF THE SOUTH) in the development of new series for FX on Hulu (K.I.L.L. Productions). |
