I always enjoy true crime, mysteries, thrillers, and suspense. But I also love stories based on real events, biopics, smart fiction, romantic comedies, and dramas.
Not interested in violent action or war stories in any medium.
Lawrence holds his BA degree in theater arts from Brown University. He received his MFA in writing from UCLA’s Department of Film, Theater, and TV — graduating Summa Cum Laude and with Departmental Honors.
He has had five feature screenplays optioned, and he has received several awards for his writing — in all mediums. His award-winning feature INTENSIVE CARE is now far along in the packaging process with very well known actors and director already attached.
He's recently completed a children's novel and also a new TV pilot. His most recent screenplay THE LAST BOMBSHELL has placed highly in 13 competitions, winning one. As of 2025, it's been optioned by a producer and director.
In addition to being an accomplished screenwriter and produced playwright, he is also a professional pianist and songwriter, as well as a trained actor. He has been hired for many independent writing and rewriting jobs. Plus, he has extensive experience as a script analyst (for two prestigious, Beverly Hills talent and literary agencies, and also working in development for two film studios). Lawrence has taught writing, acting, and English literature — on the high school and college levels.
Originally from Washington, DC, he currently lives in Los Angeles. Lawrence is represented by his agent at Innovative Artists.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
