Janet recently was an adjunct professor for the MFA in screenwriting program at National University. She has also worked as a professional screenwriting mentor working with emerging screenwriters, reading and writing professional coverage, offering written and in person feedback on scripts and other materials.
While Roadmap connects writers with many fine execs, Janet is far and away my favorite. Her feedback is always the right mix of supportive yet revision-oriented; I always come away with incredibly valuable insights and new ways of seeing my writing. Her professional yet friendly personality is also top-notch.

Janet can always get right to the essence of what is needed to enhance a story. She has a gift with character and makes comments specific enough that the writer has a clear path for revisions. She has great energy and enthusiasm. Always a pleasure to work with Janet!

I got so much out of my work with Janet. In short, I came into the class with a completed first draft, and I came out of it with so much more! She clearly understood the story I wanted to tell, and more importantly, she helped me understand how to tell it better. As a working parent, I deeply appreciated how Janet knew how to help me set appropriate goals for each week; she helped me make significant progress without burning me out. She is a very skillful mentor. If this workshop started tomorrow, I would literally register for it again right now.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
