Half-Hour Comedies (Network, multicam, and streaming) and high concept comedies
Sean Rivas is a comedy writer, most recently staffed on season 2 of GOOSEBUMPS on Disney+ /Hulu starring David Schwimmer. Hailing from Glendora, California, Sean describes himself as “Half-Mexican, Half-white and 100% Homosexual.” Before writing, Sean worked in documentary production and nonprofit marketing, supporting high-profile clients like Charlize Theron, Jane Goodall, and The Dalai Lama— which provided much inspiration for his writing (along with trauma). Sean has been selected twice as a Mentee for the Read Latinx Writers Initiative, was a finalist for the NBC Writers on the Verge in 2021, and most recently was a member of the 2023 Disney Writers Program Cohort.
Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.
