More about Emma Rappold

Emma Rappold is a film & television producer based in Los Angeles, California. Her work balances clear, authorial vision with commercial accessibility, with an emphasis on championing up-and-coming filmmakers and female-forward content.

Most recently, Emma spent over four years working with Academy Award nominated producer Aaron Ryder (ARRIVAL, MEMENTO, MUD) at Ryder Picture Company. She was a junior executive supporting development, production, and post on ALL OF YOU (Apple), I LOVE BOOSTERS (Neon), AT THE SEA, as well as upcoming releases on ONSLAUGHT (A24), OFFICE ROMANCE (Netflix) starring Jennifer Lopez, and THE DEATH OF ROBIN HOOD (A24) starring Hugh Jackman. As an executive, she led an initiative to identify high-profile book adaptations for the slate, including #1 New York Times bestsellers FUNNY STORY by Emily Henry and BUTCHER & BLACKBIRD by Brynne Weaver. She also worked as a coordinator on DUMB MONEY (Sony), BRUISER (Hulu), and the Marc Rebillet documentary SONGS ABOUT F*CKING. Prior to her time at RPC, she worked at Audio Up Media, a podcast start up with a focus on robust music integrations in both the scripted and unscripted spaces. She collaborated on development, production, publishing, and marketing across 15 podcasts with collaborators including Stephen King, James Ellroy, Machine Gun Kelly, and Miranda Lambert.

Originally from north Texas, Emma began her career recording commercial voice-overs for Radio Disney. She received a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film and a minor in Art History with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She was one of 22 students selected for the Texas Exes’ Forty Acres Scholarship Program, the premier full-ride, merit-based scholarship program at the university. During her time at UT, Emma interned in film and TV development at 10 different companies in 4 different companies, including WME, Annapurna Pictures, Black Bear Pictures, FilmNation Entertainment, Roadside Attractions, Mister Smith Entertainment, and Pathe UK.

How it Works

After registering, you will receive instructions on how to submit your material in your order confirmation email. Please be sure to select Career Coaching as your consultation type on your material submission form, so that you are able to submit all supplemental materials on the same form. Provide your script, writer bio, and one-pager of loglines (to include Title, Format, Genre, and Comps with each logline). Be sure to note which loglines are for already drafted screenplays, and which are for scripts that have yet to be completed.

After submitting your material, please allow about 3-4 weeks to receive proposed times for scheduling your call with the exec. If you haven't heard from your exec by the 3-4 week mark about scheduling, please email terra@roadmapwriters.com so we know to check in with them on your behalf about their proposed dates/ETA for you.

**Please note feature screenplays are limited to 120 pages maximum, hour pilots 65 pages maximum, and single-cam half-hour pilots 35 pages maximum. Please contact terra@roadmapwriters.com for pricing on a consultation for a screenplay exceeding these page limits.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with Roadmap's Code of Conduct.

Questions? Email terra@roadmapwriters.com

MARKETING BONUS! If you receive a rating of Excellent or Virtually Flawless in at least four out of five categories (Logline and Formatting/Ease of Reading are excluded) on your consultation feedback report, we'll do one round of personalized marketing to execs (up to 5) for this screenplay for free!

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
