I'm most passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices and diverse stories. Stories told from unique and unexpected points of view are my favorite. I'm drawn toward themes of identity, self-discovery, and personal growth/healing, centered around outsiders and underdogs who must overcome psychological, social, or cultural obstacles, often challenging the status quo as they do so.
Genres: Horror, Thriller, Mystery, Dramas, Dark Comedy (bonus points if there are dark comedy elements in all of these genres).
Delenn Kerkhof is an Independent Literary Manager, Creative Producer, and proud Columbia College Chicago graduate who has successfully developed emerging writers, securing them representation, open writing assignments, and option agreements. Her 6+ years of professional industry experience spans International Sales & Distribution, Creative Development on Lionsgate's DEI Content Review Board, and Career Development for Coverfly's platform of over 300,000 writers, where she facilitated connections and maintained relationships with the platforms over 3,000 subscribing industry professionals.
Through these experiences, Delenn has honed her ability to creatively develop and evaluate content through a cultural competency lens, evolving an acute understanding of the entertainment market's fickle, ever evolving demands. Her expertise in coordinating major film market operations across Cannes, AFM, Berlin, and SXSW provided her with comprehensive knowledge of both the creative and business aspects of the industry.
Currently expanding her independent business – Delenn is actively developing a feature and 30-minute comedy series while pitching her roster of writers to industry contacts – some of whom include execs at Disney, Cartoon Network, Paramount, Warner Brothers, Anonymous content, Catchlight, Bellevue, Citizen Skull, and more. Additionally, she provides coverage services to Kas Kas Productions (which has a first-look deal at Lionsgate) and is excited to work with more producers and representatives.
Delenn particularly enjoys working with stories that have themes centered around irreverent characters exploring their identity, sense of belonging, and the resilience they develop in the face of adversity. She loves a good horror/thriller; mysteries and dramas are also a big hit. Bonus points if there are dark comedy elements to help balance out the heavier themes of these genres.
Above all else, Delenn has dedicated her career to developing emerging and underrepresented writers with the goal of creating opportunities that break down barriers of entry and reshape the entertainment landscape.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
