The three buckets I'm focused on right now are: Light one-hour network procedurals (think BEST MEDICINE or HIGH POTENTIAL), character-driven big idea scifi (i.e. SEVERANCE, PARADISE), YA that doesn't exclusively revolve around romance (STERLING POINT, GILMORE GIRLS). But I generally respond to scripts with strong characters, a unique voice, and a vision for how to sustain a long-running series.

Particularly Interested In (Manuscripts)

What is most important to me is a writer who is willing to dig deep to find the heart of the story they want to tell and do the hard work of crafting a compelling narrative. It is a big project and very easy to burn out before getting a manuscript to the place it needs to be to be viable in the marketplace so stamina and a willingness to kill your darlings is key.

Specifically Not Interested In

Romance, faith-based, horror especially slasher/gore, overtly political stories (though open to allegory/genre-based social messaging)

Exec Based In: United States
More about Dahlia Metchis

Dahlia Metchis is a scripted television producer and development executive with over 15 years of experience. Beginning her career at CAA followed by stints at 20th Television and NBC, she worked on iconic series such as PSYCH, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, GLEE, COMMUNITY, and THE GOOD DOCTOR before transitioning to producing as Creative Executive for the director Richard Shepherd.

In 2016 she began a long-running partnership with writer/showrunner VJ Boyd (JUSTIFIED, SWAT) serving as Vice President of Production and Development for his Pernomium Pictures banner. Together they produced multiple network pilots and two series, most recently the Netflix limited series THE MADNESS starring Emmy winner Colman Domingo, and built a development slate including projects at Apple TV, Amazon/MGM, Netflix, and AMC among others.

While working with Boyd she also expanded her work into the publishing world, becoming an Author Accelerator Certified book coach and developmental editor, helping writers with everything from ideation to manuscript revision to agent querying. In 2026, Dahlia launched In Success Productions with a mission to uplift great storytelling and connect it to passionate, devoted audiences.

How it Works

After registering, you will receive instructions on how to submit your material in your order confirmation email. After submitting your material, please allow about 3-4 weeks to receive proposed times for scheduling your call with the mentor. If you haven't heard from your exec by the 3-4 week mark about scheduling, please email terra@roadmapwriters.com so we know to check in with them on your behalf about their proposed dates/ETA for you.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with Roadmap's Code of Conduct.

Questions? Email terra@roadmapwriters.com

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
