If you've ever thought about producing your own work (shorts, webseries, or a full feature), you've probably asked yourself "how do I know what budget I need?" Sure, you can ballpark a number based on projects similar to yours if someone asks, but you have to break the script down and make a schedule to know how much your project will actually cost to make. You need to consider everything from the location permits, to lights, to crafty, to insurance. And that's before post production.

To demystify the process (and give you some tools to break down your own short film), line producer Carrie Certa is here with a lecture series!

This Four Week Lecture Series Will Cover:

  • Breaking down the script
  • Creating a schedule
  • Line items in the budget
