More about Christine Luby

With nearly 100 credits and 20 years of experience in the film and television industry, Christine Luby is an American-Australian director known for her vibrant storytelling and collaborative approach. Her directorial debut, the romantic comedy THIS LITTLE LOVE OF MINE (Netflix), was shot along the Australian coastline during the pandemic and quickly rose to become the 2nd most-watched film globally on its opening weekend.

Since then, Christine has gone on to direct a diverse slate of projects, including THE CURIOUS CASE OF DOLPHIN BAY for Disney+, which was nominated for an Australian Directors Guild Award, and multiple episodes of Netflix's DIVE CLUB, a series that received both Logie and AACTA Award nominations. Her other credits also include the Tubi Original LOVE AND PENGUINS, ROYAL RENDEZVOUS for Peacock, and HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS for Fox Entertainment, steamy romance BEAUTY FROM PAIN and her latest Netflix romantic comedy YOU, ALWAYS, starring Adrian Grenier.

Christine began her career as an Assistant Director, working on major studio productions such as PETER RABBIT, THE WOLVERINE, AQUAMAN, and ELVIS. She also served as 1st AD on numerous films and series, and produced the Sydney Film Festival indie favorite CHOCOLATE OYSTER.

Drawing on an international upbringing and training as a modern dancer at Hampshire College and Laban Centre London, Christine brings a distinct sense of movement, rhythm, and emotional nuance to her work. Her intuitive, actor-focused direction is complemented by strong technical expertise, making her a trusted creative force across genres.

How it Works

After registering, you will receive instructions on how to submit your material in your order confirmation email. After submitting your material, please allow about 3-4 weeks to receive proposed times for scheduling your call with the exec. If you haven't heard from your exec by the 3-4 week mark about scheduling, please email terra@roadmapwriters.com so we know to check in with them on your behalf about their proposed dates/ETA for you.

**Please note feature screenplays are limited to 120 pages maximum. Please contact terra@roadmapwriters.com for pricing on a consultation for a screenplay exceeding 120 pages.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with Roadmap's Code of Conduct.

Questions? Email terra@roadmapwriters.com

MARKETING BONUS! If you receive a rating of Excellent or Virtually Flawless in at least four out of five categories (Logline and Formatting/Ease of Reading are excluded) on your consultation feedback report, we'll do one round of personalized marketing to execs (up to 5) for this screenplay for free!

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
