My ultimate favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fi. AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER is my favorite show of all time. Can never pass up on a mind-bending thriller like SEVERANCE or a slow-burn drama like MAD MEN. Dystopian worlds like THE HUNGER GAMES and THE MATRIX always grip me. At the end of the day, the more complicated the world and the characters, the better. Anything meant to be animated, please send my way.

More about Ashlyn Tatro

Ashlyn Tatro is the Development Coordinator at independent production company Bold Films based in Hollywood, California. Most notably known for the features WHIPLASH, NIGHTCRAWLER, and DRIVE, Bold is a company that understands the importance of writing and values original, impactful stories. In her day-to-day, Ashlyn spends her time training interns to hone their pitching and development skills, participating and taking notes in development meetings, and helping coordinate distribution deals for Bold’s library titles. She knows how to balance creative and commercial appeal in a script—how to reach people and evoke an emotional experience. Ashlyn will teach you how to sell not only your stories, but yourself as a writer.

Before Bold, Ashlyn was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where she eventually graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Radio, Television & Film. She has previous experience as a freelance editor and production assistant, but her ultimate passions are producing and development. Her biggest inspiration is Avatar: The Last Airbender, and she hopes to one day produce animated content that pushes boundaries and expands the medium’s audience. Outside of animation, Ashlyn has a huge love for Television. Genre doesn’t matter; she consumes it all! Mad Men, Attack on Titan, Severance, Arcane, Fleabag, Orange Is the New Black, The Twilight Zone, Game of Thrones, Steven Universe…the list goes on and on. At the end of the day, Ashlyn believes story is the most important aspect of filmmaking. Without that strong foundation, no project will ever reach its full potential.

How it Works

After registering, you will receive instructions on how to submit your material in your order confirmation email. Please be sure to select Career Coaching as your consultation type on your material submission form, so that you are able to submit all supplemental materials on the same form. Provide your script, writer bio, and one-pager of loglines (to include Title, Format, Genre, and Comps with each logline). Be sure to note which loglines are for already drafted screenplays, and which are for scripts that have yet to be completed.

After submitting your material, please allow about 3-4 weeks to receive proposed times for scheduling your call with the exec. If you haven't heard from your exec by the 3-4 week mark about scheduling, please email terra@roadmapwriters.com so we know to check in with them on your behalf about their proposed dates/ETA for you.

**Please note feature screenplays are limited to 120 pages maximum, hour pilots 65 pages maximum, and single-cam half-hour pilots 35 pages maximum. Please contact terra@roadmapwriters.com for pricing on a consultation for a screenplay exceeding these page limits.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with Roadmap's Code of Conduct.

Questions? Email terra@roadmapwriters.com

MARKETING BONUS! If you receive a rating of Excellent or Virtually Flawless in at least four out of five categories (Logline and Formatting/Ease of Reading are excluded) on your consultation feedback report, we'll do one round of personalized marketing to execs (up to 5) for this screenplay for free!

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
