We're back with another Success Story! This time we're chatting with Cristina Williams, who just signed with Jon Taub of CT Media through Roadmap Writers' Top Tier program.

Firstly, tell us about yourself! Who are you as a writer & who did you end up signing with?
My name is Cristina Williams. I am a business woman, blogger, author, screenwriter and mother of eight. So yeah, my life is insane. I am passionate about telling stories with heart, and exploring the many faces of love, usually within a high concept setting. I am represented by Jon Taub of CT Media.
How did you meet your now rep? What was that first interaction like and how did it lead to your professional relationship now?
I met Jon through an introduction of another Top Tier writer and the support of Julianne. I had recently decided to seek a new manager, someone who could be a better fit for me professionally and personally. When I met Jon, I felt like we had known each other for years. He's relatable, approachable, knowledgeable and extremely proactive.
From the moment you started training and/or working with Roadmap Writers, how long has it been before you secured your current representation?
I had my first manager about a year after engaging with Roadmap. This time, it only took me a few weeks to connect with the right person.
How did (if at all) Roadmap Writers assist in getting you to this point? Do you think you could've made this step in your screenwriting career without Roadmap?
Roadmap has definitely made me into a better writer. About 80% of my engagement initially was all about marketing, re-writing, refining, pitching... Finding screenwriting courses is easy. Roadmap is something else. Yes, you WILL improve as a writer. But most importantly, they will prepare you for the marketplace and the real world.
What types of stories do you write? What's your "writer brand" and how do you think that helped you attract a good match for representation?
I write about love. Whether its across time, between families, forbidden, insane, ridiculous, uncomfortable. I write about the crazy happenings of the human heart.
Has your mindset about what you're writing changed now that you've added representation to your team? What's the biggest lesson you've learned or had to adapt to since you've been working with your rep?
I feel for the first time in a long time, that I am making real connections and that my career path is finally opening.
What do you hope your next steps are? What are your immediate goals now that you've landed representation?

In 10 years, what do you want your screenwriting career to look like?
A legacy slate that helps shape the way we see relationships and each other. Project that are timeless and inexhaustible such as:
