Collaborating with fellow Indigenous writers although all are welcome! I am quite interested in absurdism, family dynamics, Indigenous stories, and ambitious filmmaking (meaning high concept ideas of any genre -- practical fx approaches -- production design heavy). Right now, I'm leaning towards mini or limited series, features, web series, and shorts.
Whimsical/surreal or eerie/dark stories. The children's genre I find to be the most imaginative and freeing story-wise, but am also open to true crime, folktales/mythologies, mysteries, scary stories, etc. I'm also a huge history buff, so anything that weaves in history or is set in the past is of major interest to me! Also, Stories told with a smirk (using genre as a vehicle for comedy).
Pure romance or sci-fi. Fine if genre-blended, but not my favorite on their own. Also, not into organized crime stories or intrigue-heavy political dramas.
