Pitch Tips
It's really difficult to strike the right balance between character development with action when pitching. Think about how much time you are allocating to both, and for what reason. If we don't truly know the characters in a meaningful, authentic way, it's difficult to be invested in what happens to them, no matter what situations they are presented in. Don't be afraid to slow things down plot-wise so we can really understand the 'who' (as opposed to the 'what').

Madeleine Buisseret is currently Director of Development at Mainstay Entertainment (A SIMPLE WEDDING; KID OF THE YEAR), a management and production company that represents actors, writers, directors, and creators. Mainstay is developing BORN A CRIME, based on Trevor Noah’s best-selling memoir, at Paramount Pictures, and THE SUN ALWAYS SETS IN THE WEST with Danny McBride and Rough House Pictures (HALLOWEEN; HALLOWEEN KILLS) at Lionsgate. The company is currently in production on HBO Max’s BOONDOCKS, created by Aaron McGruder, and an untitled animated pilot about an immigrant family adjusting to life in America, created by Maz Jobrani and Courteney Cox. Madeleine co-produced the company’s independent feature BEFORE I GO, written and directed by Eric Schaeffer and starring Annabella Sciorra and Robert Klein. Other credits include ROY WOOD JR: NO ONE LOVES YOU and I FEEL PRETTY.
How it Works
- Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email, you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to instructions on how to submit your contact info or written pitch via the Material Submission Form.
- Your material/contact submission is due as soon as you are ready, but no later than 9:00am PT the day of the session.
- You will receive this exec's written feedback on your pitch via email within 7 to 10 business days following the session unless otherwise notified.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the session. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.
