So many movies and shows are adapted from IP these days: books, articles, video games, and comics. It's easy to see why execs like adapting comics to the screen - they're already a visual way to tell a story, and so many comics have amazing world building and story engines.

But if you're not an artist, comics can seem impossible to break into. That's why the exceptionally talented Olivia Cuartero-Briggs is here with a webinar to give us an introduction to the world of comics - and how to use them as IP for a script.

This 90 Minute Webinar Will Cover

  • What intellectual property is and how it is evaluated
  • Why studios buy worlds, characters, and longevity — not just scripts
  • How comics function as a complete IP blueprint
  • Overview of the comics ecosystem: creation, publishing, and sale
