Great dialogue can make a feature or series, and stiff dialogue sink it. Work with playwright and executive producer Danny Rocco to craft natural, emergent, life-like dialogue and be some of the first to use a pioneering new writing software called Swseng (/'swing'/) to hit the market this Fall.
In the webinar, Rocco will walk you through some basic do's and don'ts for screen dialogue, and guide you through how to use Swseng to make your moments pop.
Open to all writers of stage, screen and those looking to adapt.
Danny Rocco is a playwright, producer, and professional script consultant/doctor. He worked on the creative team of writers Joshua John Miller and M.A. Fortin for several years (QUEEN OF THE SOUTH/THE EXORCISM), and is now seeking new scripts for development at his production company Brontosaurus Haircut Productions.
His play "What the Sparrow Said" is now a short film, directed by Tim Guinee, executive produced by Anson Mount (@SparrowTheMovie), and is making its way through the festival circuit.
As a playwright, his work has been developed and produced in New York, Los Angeles, Cape Cod, Colorado, Romania, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He is a Yaddo resident artist, Edward F. Albee Fellow, Arctic Circle fellow, Forge Fellow, and graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School and Columbia University’s School of the Arts with an MFA in playwriting.
He is an avid champion of new script writing techniques, most especially the Script Writing Score. You can try his software Swseng (/’swing’/) for free at http://swseng.io
