BIO
A Korean-born Canadian residing in Australia. Suya hitchhikes as a displaced vagabond, who masquerades as a globe trotting gypsy, as she scoops up expensive pieces of paper from around the world to hang on a wall. She dashed to Melbourne to do a PhD in script research, and stayed for love. In shiny frames are a BFA from Canada and MBA from the U.K. Just a silly and foolish soul, who writes manic stories, in which trauma deep dives into quicksand. A common motif is suckers down on their luck, or their lot in life, and how they crawl back in the light (or not). Suya lives in the surreal space where she surrenders to the serendipity and spookiness of life.
