Semifinalist, Roadmap Writers Short Script Lab 2026
BIO
When he was kicked out of Sunday school for asking how God knew 3 days had passed by if the sun wasn't invented yet, Steve Miranda knew he was destined to never fit in. Reluctantly raised by a toxic narcissist and his spiteful step-father, Steve quickly learned to use humor to pivot from how sad his life usually was. As a result, he was unable to connect with his peers and fashioned an intense soul akin to his faithful wolf-dog who taught him how to love. Whether he writes heartwarming comedies like his Mexican Freaky Friday "Freaky Viernes", or a Michael Mann-esque thriller like a "A Debt Paid", the intensity of his life is felt in every story he writes. When he isn't working film production in his native Los Angeles, Steve Miranda can be found walking his cat to Vidiots where the neighboring kids have dubbed him "Cat Dad".
