BIO
Samantha Clay was born and raised in a West Virginia coal mine. Her mother was a mountain, and her father was John Denver. After attending West Virginia University, she drove out to Los Angeles to pursue acting with nothing but a dream and trunk full of shoes. When her plan to become immediately discovered was thwarted, she created her own opportunities by writing comedy sketches and casting herself. Her comedy pilot THE GROWTH was chosen for the 2023 Sundance Episodic Lab. It won the Roadmap Writers Jump Start Pilot Competition and the New Voices in Animation Screenwriting Contest. Samantha's work has been featured at Towne Street Theater, several self produced web-series, and the ABC Disney Discovers Talent Showcase. She looks forward to her next big adventure, as well as her next big quesadilla.
