BIO

A. S. Vieira is a Brazilian-born writer based in New York City whose work spans novels, screenplays, and theater, with a strong focus on character-driven storytelling and emotionally grounded narratives. After beginning his creative career as a playwright in Brazil, Vieira expanded into fiction and film, publishing his debut novel Permanent Ink and the short story collection Haunting Symphonies: Tales of the Umbral. His screenwriting work includes the psychological thriller A Tale of Two Mothers, which has received multiple Double Recommends and placements in major competitions, as well as The Singer (or The Allure of Being a C*nt), a character-driven musical dramedy. Vieira's projects often explore themes of identity, trauma, spirituality, and moral ambiguity, and he is currently developing a slate of film and television projects, including a limited series adaptation of Permanent Ink. Alongside his creative work, he serves as East Coast Manager for the Danish design company GUBI, where he combines strategic business development with a deep appreciation for design and storytelling.
