BIO
CYNTHIA RIDDLE and PETER HUNZIKER are writer/producers with many film/TV credits. Their true-crime feature thriller ROMEO & JULIET KILLERS that they wrote and Executive Produced is currently streaming on Tubi (Fox’s streamer), and they have new thrillers and rom coms in development. Cynthia has an Academy Award-nominated producer on board to produce/direct a film based on her award-winning biopic screenplay, UPSTAGED (Finalist out of 15,100 submissions in The Script Lab, and previously won two WGA screenplay competitions). Cynthia and Peter’s recent Lifetime true-crime thriller POISONED LOVE: THE STACEY CASTOR STORY they wrote and Executive Produced, starring Academy Award nominee Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), won a Best TV Movie Leo Award. They also wrote THE BRITTANY MURPHY STORY for Lifetime, rom-com PUPPY LOVE for Hallmark Ch., and CROSSROADS for CBS/Hallmark Hall of Fame. Cynthia and Peter’s character-driven crime-thriller pilot, BLOOD BROTHERS, has won/been a Finalist in top screenwriting competitions, including winning Screencraft’s Jamaica Residency, Top 20 out of 9,100 scripts in the AMC/ Austin Film Festival competition, and Finalists in Sundance’s Episodic Story Lab and Humanitas’ New Voices. Peter won the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmakers Award while at UCLA with a short film Cynthia produced, and it screened in 14,000 theaters nationwide. Peter was also a Directing Finalist in PROJECT GREENLIGHT and Nintendo/Universal Studios Eternal Darkness competition, and Cynthia produced those short films. Their proof-of-concept short film NO CHOICE is premiering this Summer at the Academy Award-qualifying LA Shorts Film Festival. Cynthia has an MFA in Screenwriting and Film Production from UCLA—Peter has a BA in Film from UCLA. Cynthia is on the Board of the LA Femme International Film Festival, and is Co-Chair of WGA’s Writers Education Committee and former Vice Chair of their Committee of Women Writers. She teaches Advanced Feature Screenwriting and Short Film in UCLA Extension’s Writers Program. Cynthia and Peter are managed by Evan Anglin at Zero Gravity Management.
