A rare combination of Muslim and Mormon DNA produced the unlikely creative creature that is NICK FITURI SCOWN. In both narrative and documentary, his stories tend to focus on people finally facing their troubled pasts to overcome the challenges they face in the present. An Emmy-nominated producer, Nick has been named one of 25 Writers To Watch by The Austin Film Festival and has been a finalist for a Disney Writing Fellowship (Jack Hammer: Male Stewardess), the Launch Pad Pilot Competition (Family Possesions), the Roadmap Writers Top Tier Competition (Come Back King), and the Stowe Story Labs Production Grant (Time Enough). His feature directorial debut, Pretty Bad Actress, was released theatrically by MVD Entertainment, and his critically lauded documentary, Too Soon: Comedy After 9/11, airs on VICE TV.MENT.
