BIO

NATASHA R. TROTTER is an Army brat (a term she inherited but reluctantly claims) who strives for more military brat representation on the screen outside of A.C. Slater. She was born in Virginia and lived in Germany, California, Hawaii, Maryland, Texas, and Georgia. The uprooting shaped her cultural and climatological awareness at a young age. She writes for those who dim their lights to make others comfortable because if we continue down that path, the enemy will win. She has been a Writers’ Assistant on Designated Survivor, The Umbrella Academy, Colin in Black & White (produced by Ava DuVernay and Colin Kaepernick), where she co-wrote episode 103, “Road Trip,” and The Equalizer. She got her start in television production working on shows produced by CBS, Tyler Perry Studios, BET, 20th Century Television, and many others. She is a proud graduate of an HBCU, Spelman College. In between storytelling, listening to music, and random adventures, she is obsessed with the NBA. Much like her upbringing, her team changes from time to time, but know she roots for the underdog.
