BIO
After years as a traveling musician, MICHAEL ALDEN LLOYD transitioned to film. His most formative experience came on the set of HUGO, observing Martin Scorsese and his award-winning team in action. Michael’s cinematography has earned him honors including the Panavision Award, ARRI Award, consecutive ECA Awards, and selection to participate in the Berlinale Talents Lab. His work spans features, series, and documentaries, screening at festivals such as TIFF, SXSW, Berlin, Camerimage, and Santa Barbara, with DP credits on projects like BETTER THINGS (FX), BORDERLINE (LuckyChap), HOT SUMMER NIGHTS (A24), and THE QUARRY (Lionsgate). Upcoming projects include his screenplay LOVELY THOUGHTS, set for production in 2026 with A-list talent attached to both star and direct, along with his feature debut as writer/director, which is currently in development.
