BIO 

 

Matt Nicholson is a queer Burbank-based screenwriter who crafts character-driven dramedies and elevated genre stories about grief, ambition, family legacy, and survival. His feature PIETRA FREDDA, an elevated psychological horror set in northern Italy, explores artistic obsession, perfection, and the dangerous pursuit of greatness. The screenplay was inspired in part by Matt's experience visiting the marble quarries of Carrara while studying abroad in Italy. Much like his protagonist, Matt found himself a little possessed by the marble. Years later, he's still digging into what he found there.
